Home Care Assistants : West Lancs Area

Seeking female carer’s who have a passion for caring for others. We cover the following areas Ormskirk, Burscough, Parbold, Wrightington and Skelmersdale. Afternoon and evening hours are available, full and part time hours, between 3pm – 11pm, covering tea times, bed times (also overnight sits), shopping and domestic visits.

This role is vital in ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of care and assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.

Duties

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients in following their care plans and achieving their individual goals.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction.
  • Help with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Medication administration.
  • Utilise IT skills to manage schedules, document care activities, and communicate with team members.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred.
  • Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients.
  • Proficiency in IT applications for documentation and scheduling purposes.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
