Stocks Hall St Helens enjoy sightseeing in Liverpool

Ladies and gentlemen living at Stocks Hall St Helens Home have enjoyed exploring the nearby City of Liverpool.

Joan, Ann and Paul (accompanied by Stocks Hall St Helens staff Steve, Jackie and Lucy) enjoyed a full day of sightseeing on the River Mersey.  Boarding the world-famous Mersey Ferry, the small group enjoyed the comfortable, relaxing sail,  viewing Liverpool’s most iconic sights.  The 50 minute River Explorer Cruise takes in the best views along the riverside, all guided by expert commentary, offering stunning views of Liverpool’s famous skyline.

The group then enjoyed a hot cuppa and refreshments, whilst fondly chatting together and enjoying the beaming October sun, wrapped up cosy and warm.

Lucy, Activities Staff says “A perfect day out together, everyone had a wonderful time.”

In the same week Carl, Sandi and Norma, (with Stocks Hall St Helens staff Maria, Lisa, Lucy and Steve) headed over to Liverpool to visit the famous Cavern Club.

Today’s Cavern is a thriving live music destination and one of Liverpool’s top tourist attractions. The three venues – the Cavern Club, Cavern Live Lounge and the Cavern Pub – showcase not only the incredible legacy of The Beatles, but also new up and coming bands and established artists.

Lucy, Activities says “Carl was delighted to be in the very spot where his favourite band found their fame, The Cavern Club. Carl had never been before, he was absolutely thrilled to enjoy a drink this iconic venue and it was a dream come true for him.”

The group embraced the evocative spirit of this legendary venue enjoying the entertainment and sound performed live on stage during the afternoon.

The day was complete with a walk around the docks and a visit to the Museum of Liverpool.
