Donation of ‘Twiddle Mitts’ help soothe Homecare clients

Stocks Hall Homecare & Agency would like to thank The One House Community Centre in Aspull for their kind donation of Twiddle Mitts.

‘Twiddle mitts’ are knitted mittens or hand warmers with beads, buttons and objects sewn on to them. The mitts are becoming popular gifts for those living with dementia, as having something to ‘twiddle’ – helps to calm agitation and restlessness.

Manager of Homecare & Agency Team, Elaine Edwards said “I want to thank The One House community group for this kind donation. It’s gratefully received as it will enhance the lives of our ladies and gents in the the local community we serve. Sensory stimulation is really important for people with dementia, and can improve wellbeing and quality of life.”

Thank you – your donation is greatly appreciated and will be most loved ❤️
