Our Homes have had a busy couple of days preparing and celebrating for Halloween week.
Over at Stocks Hall Mawdesley Home, ladies and gents enjoyed Autumnal crafts and pumpkin making, culminating their day with a Halloween themed dress up day.
At Stocks Hall Skelmersdale Home, staff also dressed up for the occasion as they held a special Halloween party at the Home. Activities included pumpkin carving and decorating. Mark, Activities Team says “The Home looked spooktacular!”
Stocks Hall Ormskirk Home enjoyed traditional ‘apple bobbing’ and ‘apple decorating’ and also carved their own pumpkins.
Stocks Hall St Helens Home enjoyed an Autumnal trip out, pumpkin picking at nearby The Barn at Fir Tree Farm. Once picked the ladies went on to enjoy a spot of lunch and retail therapy at the Trafford Centre. They then spent the evening helping staff to carve the pumpkins, all ready for Halloween celebrations at the Home.
Stocks Hall Burscough Home had a great time with lots of ghostly goings on even in the Laundry! Congrats to Sheelagh who won a plant for her witchy costume and staff member, John who looked scary in his skeleton costume.
Stocks Hall Andrew Smith House enjoyed a spooky afternoon tea for Halloween, where poison and jack’s death were the tipple of the day. As you can see everyone got into the “spirit” of things. Beatrice dressed up as a witch, Joan posed under a skeleton mask and James and Michael heard there were doughnuts! A great of afternoon of singing and dancing.
Thank you to all our wonderful staff at Stocks Hall Nursing & Care Group who made this year’s Halloween celebration such a memorable occasion for everyone.
