A ROARING good time at Chester Zoo

Ladies and gentlemen living at Stocks Hall Care Home, St Helens spent the day seeing the animals in nearby, Chester Zoo.

With over 21,000 animals, set in 125 acres of award-winning zoological gardens, it’s no surprise that Chester Zoo is not only the UK’s most popular zoo –  it’s one of the top 15 in the world.

They chose the perfect day to visit, because the weather was lovely.  They left Stocks Hall St Helens at 10.30am, before making the 45 minute journey and singing to music in the Stocks Hall minibus.

Once they arrived at the zoo, they spent time studying the map and planning a route, ensuring that they visited all the animals they wished to see.

Everybody really enjoyed the day out. Lucy Peters, Activities for Stocks Hall St Helens Care Home, said “Everyone had an amazing time visiting Chester Zoo. It’s always a great day trip and especially when the weather is as lovely as it has been.  There were so many different animals at the zoo, with favourites being elephants, giraffes, monkeys, panthers and lions.  There were so many facial expressions and much happiness beaming from faces as they saw all of the different animals.  A perfect day out together.”
