Relaxation and Reflection to mark Ash Wednesday

As a touching tribute to mark the Christian celebration of Ash Wednesday, the ladies and gentleman living at Stocks Hall St Helens Home thought it would be a lovely idea to have their very own spiritual Wednesday.

Laraine Prescott, who is the Home’s in-house Holistic Therapist, led a beautiful spiritual friendship group which highlights the importance of friendship within the Stocks Hall Family and what it means to each Individual at the Home.  The lighting of large candles and significant placing of crystals created a wonderful ambience of peace, tranquillity and well-being.

As the group gathers together in the Lounge Area, they quietly listen to natural healing music and a guided audio meditation.  Meditation can remove stress and replace it with inner peace. It’s one of the best tools we have to balance our emotions, deal with physical and psychological distress, and promote the peace of the present moment.

Laraine says “It is wonderful for everyone to be able to relax together, feel comfortable and take that special moment to think about individuality, friendships and our Stocks Hall Family.  Our intention is about embracing friendship as we are all starting a new journey together and we are here to support each other as we take positive steps forward together ~ mind, body, and soul.  Namaste”
