Stocks Hall Nursing & Care Group were delighted to join the Alzheimer’s Society, working with other local employers in supporting Dementia Action Week recently.
A team – comprising of Alzheimer’s Society staff, plus other local businesses’ employees and volunteers hosted a stall on the popular Ormskirk Market.
The team talked to everyone who approached the stall and those visiting the local market. They were on hand to answer questions and handed out valuable informative leaflets. They were also able to signpost people on, to get the correct support, help and advice around Dementia topics.
June Sears-Jones, PR Manager of The Stocks Hall Group said “The aim of the event is to keep raising local awareness of Dementia and give people opportunities with encouragement to talk about Dementia issues and not to feel isolated. Stocks Hall is delighted to contribute to the local community in this way.”
Thanks go to Don Evans, Town Crier for visiting and supporting the United against Dementia stall and all the people who helped to make this day the success it was.
