Stocks Hall, St Helens Home recently held a fundraising walk, raising money to develop the Sensory Room at the Care Home in Denton’s Green.
Thanks to their efforts, the committed group consisting of people living at the Home, family members and staff, raised an impressive £400. This money will be used to further develop the Sensory Room on Coral Unit at the Home.
Blessed with a lovely day, the generous team walked around the local surrounding areas near the Care Home. Taking an enjoyable stroll around Queens Park, the group chatted together about how lovely the room is with its recent renovations, and future plans for this beautiful space. Ideas were buzzing about the next new and exciting developments ahead.
With donations raised from the walk, plans are now underway to provide advancement of sensory experiences for people living at the Home to enjoy.
Lucy, Activities Coordinator says “Stocks Hall, St Helen’s Home have already made significant interior design improvements to the Sensory Room. Further fundraising allows for enhancement of special equipment, lighting, tactile experiences and much more. We want everyone to be a part of this unique development, enabling those living here to enjoy a wide range of therapeutic experiences through learning, stimulation, relaxation and fun.”
Thanks go to all who walked and gave generous donations. Thanks also go to ‘Cakes by Abbie’ who made delicious cakes to be enjoyed at this event.
Lucy concludes “It was a great day of working together, whilst supporting the Home for this very worthwhile cause.”
