Creativity showcase at Andrew Smith House

Over the past few weeks the ladies and gentleman living at Stocks Hall Andrew Smith House have put their artistic and creative skills to the test.

Firstly, the Activity Team thought it would be a great idea to do something for the birds, due to the cold conditions recently and came up with the idea of making bird feeders out of plastic bottles.

The Home’s resident artists colourfully decorated them, filled them with bird seed and hung them out. The feeders are a great success but unfortunately the birds seem camera shy. However, someone who isn’t camera shy is the Home’s resident squirrel, Cyril. As you can see he is up to his mischievous antics again, by helping himself to the food!!

The artistic talents don’t stop there either – the ladies and gents have created some lovely pieces of art work. Copying and painting onto canvas to add to our gallery wall. Using again the technique of iris folding, these fabulous pieces of artwork are proudly on display in the Home.

These masterpieces have been been lovingly created by Doreen, Christine, her Sister Barbara, Sheila, Tony, Enid and Joan.

Amazing – we certainly have some very talented people living at Stocks Hall Andrew Smith House.
