A NEW coffee morning group has got off to an excellent start after launching at Stocks Hall Ormskirk Home.
The Coffee Morning event, held every morning in the newly refurbished Tranquillity Room offers people living at the Home, along with family members, a delicious hot drink plus a daily opportunity to have a good old chit chat together.
The event was a fantastic start to the group with people living at the Home relaxing and chatting to each other, whilst enjoying hot beverages and taking in the ever changing morning views through the amazing sky roof window provisions.
Putting on her best barista smile, newly appointed Activities Staff, Brenda says “Coffee mornings are part of our great British tradition and we are thrilled to announce it is to become a daily event to encourage people to come together for a natter and to get to know each other, whilst socialising and making new friends.”
Brenda also led a themed reminiscence session at this week’s Coffee Morning Event based upon school days which prompted great conversation. The group shared their own Individual memories and photographs, bringing lots of memories, smiles and laughter to the morning.
Captured here is a lovely moment between Theresa and Peggy, who made friends at the event, discovering that they both have previously lived in the area of Bootle.
Manager, Gel Ball says, “We felt we wanted to create something that would benefit as many people as possible, that would promote wellbeing and make a difference to everyday lives. It was lovely to see new friendships beginning to develop. We now look forward to future weeks and plenty more chatting and cuppas together.”
