Annual Rainbow Walk in St Helens

People living at Stocks Hall St Helens Home recently gathered for their annual ‘Rainbow Walk’, which is held to continue raising awareness of disability.

The walk began in the Home’s Sensory Garden and everyone’s spirits were high, with the sun shining down on them too for once. Following the reflective walk the group enjoyed some ice-cream and a slice of rainbow cake too if they wanted, accompanied by Reggae music as they ‘chilled out’ together in the garden.

Laura, one of the Home’s activities workers, said “the Rainbow Walk is always a welcome annual event in the St Helens Home’s calendar, and this year the weather was amazing too – plenty of factor 50 sun cream was applied before and during the event, so much so that the air smelled of ‘coconut and holidays’
