Stocks Hall Andrew Smith House in Nelson has been awarded a five star rating by Environmental Health after a rigorous inspection found excellent Food Hygiene throughout the Home.
The achievement is the highest quality rating a Care Home can receive from Environmental Health officers, and shows the Home has complied with statutory obligations by showing outstanding Food Hygiene Standards.
The award is a nationally recognised certificate, which informs customers at a glance of the premises Food Hygiene rating. An Environmental Health Officer from the Council audits the food premises and gives it a 1 to 5 rating, 5 being the highest achievable score. The audit covers food preparation, cooking, storage and the fabric of the building.
